Are poll workers paid?

Yes, poll workers are paid in most states! Compensation varies state to state, and even in different counties within each state. For more information on available compensation for your state, please visit your county's poll working page on their elections website. 

What are the eligibility requirements for becoming a poll worker?

Eligibility requirements vary from state to state. Some common requirements include: 

  • Eligibility to vote 

  • Age

  • Residency in the country or state

  • Political Party Affiliation (whether or not you can be a nonaffiliated voter)
